The small seconds hand had popped off and the battery was dead, but it was in great condition otherwise. He went to his room and pulled out a Seiko 5T52-6A38 World Timer in great condition (serial number indicates it was manufactured in 1993). He said it was nothing special but still kinda neat, so I asked to see it. A few weeks ago I was over at one of my friends' apartment and he mentioned a watch his father had given him a few years ago but had since broken. My obsession with watches is well-known by my friends. Or manually, by turning the crown for a 24 hour setting change. I just got a Seiko 5T52 World Timer Quartz watch that seemed to function.
